The Best of Maasai Mara - 2 Nights - AHT 119

Day 1 Nairobi/Masai Mara
Having been picked up from your hotel, depart Nairobi at 9.30 A.M. Drive to the Masai Mara arriving in time for a late afternoon/early evening game drive, stopping at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint and at Narok town for lunch and re-fuelling. Dinner and overnight at the lodge or campsite.

Day 2 Masai Mara
Breakfast will be followed by a full day of game drives within the reserve. You will have a break at the hippo pool for your picnic lunch. At the Mara you should expect to see three out of the big five namely elephant, lion and buffalo though luck is essential to track the other two that is rhino and leopard which are very shy and elusive. A wide variety of antelopes and other plains game can be seen. Scavengers like hyena and vulture are common. Return to the lodge or campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3 Masai Mara
After breakfast depart on a morning game drive in this reserve, which is essentially the northern extension of Tanzania's Serengeti National Park. Lunch at the lodge or campsite. In the afternoon you have a choice of three activities:- a game drive or a nature walk with our Masai guides; the final choice is a visit to a Masai village to see their nomadic lifestyle at an extra cost payable directly to the Masai villagers. All activities end at the lodge or campsite by 6.30 p.m. where you will retire for the night after dinner.

Rift Valley and Maasai Mara Adventures - 5 Nights - AHT 116

The safari takes us South through the Rift Valley to Masai Mara where the largest concentrations of game in Kenya is to be found. Then back North to the remote lakes Bogoria and Baringo a bird watchers and naturalists paradise.

Day 1: Nairobi/Maasai Mara
07.30 hours: Depart from our Nairobi office for a journey South along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Drive past Narok town then climb the western wall entering Hemingway's "Serengeti Plains" country. Arrive for lunch at Siana Springs in Mara Game Reserve. Afternoon game drive, Dinner and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.

Day 2: Maasai Mara
Full day spent in search of Elephants, Zebra, Wildebeest, Rhino, Buffalo, Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and other plains game. All meals and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.

Day 3: Maasai Mara
Full day game viewing. Meals and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.

Day 4: Maasai Mara/Nakuru
After breakfast leave the Camp and depart for Nakuru. Lunch is served enroute. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its large variety of birds. Besides birds for which its world famous its possible to see other game such as Rhino, Water Buck, Impala, Buffalo and Gazelle in the surrounding gardens. Dinner and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.

Day 5: Lake Baringo - Lake Bogoria
Leave Nakuru for both Lakes Baringo and Bogoria. You will have a one-hour boat ride on Lake Baringo. Lunch at Lake Bogoria Hotel and dinner and overnight at a lodge or luxury tented camp.

Day 6: Lake Baringo/Naivasha/Nairobi
After breakfast leave for lunch at Lake Naivasha. Proceed in the mid afternoon for Nairobi arriving late afternoon.

The Ark, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara - 4 Nights - AHT 119

Day 1 The Ark
Drive to the Aberdare Country Club for lunch, then transfer to the Ark for floodlit game viewing. Overnight at the Ark or a similar lodge. (175 kms, 3 hrs)

Day 2 Lake Nakuru (BLD)
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive. Overnight in a lodge or luxury tented camp (160kms, 3 hrs).

Day 3 Maasai Mara (BLD)
After breakfast, drive through the Great Rift Valley and up the escarpment wall arriving at the lodge for lunch. An afternoon game drive. Overnight in a lodge or luxury tented camp (300 kms, 5 hrs)

Day 4 Masai Mara (BLD)
Morning and afternoon game drives. Overnight in a lodge or luxury tented camp

Day 5 Nairobi (B)
After breakfast, return by road to Nairobi, arriving before lunch. Overnight in a lodge or luxury tented camp (280 kms, 6 hrs)
