DAY 1 Nairobi/Maasai Mara
National Park
Drive through lush Kikuyu farmland to the edge of the Rift
Valley. Descend the Rift Valley and drive via Narok to Maasai
mara Game Reserve. The Maasai Mara adjoins Tanzania's Serengeti
national Park and shares in its abundant wildlife. The Maasai
Mara is famous for its black-maned lion. Arrive at lunch time
after which you proceed for a game drive. Drive and overnight
at Mara Sopa/Keekorok/ or luxury tented camp.
DAY 2 Maasai Mara National
Park
Morning and afternoon game drives are provided. Among the
wildlife seen are Wildebeest, Lion, Elephant and Cheetah.
All meals and overnight at Mara Sopa/Keekorok or luxury tented
camp.
DAY 3 Maasai Mara National
Park/Great Rift Valley
Pre-breakfast game drive in the Maasai Mara to view the various
animals found in this park. Maasai Mara is also home of thousands
birds. After breakfast, proceed to Nakuru arriving in time
for lunch. An afternoon game drive takes us round the lake;
home of the famous Pink Flamingo. Lake Nakuru is truly an
ornithologist's paradise.
DAY 4 Great Rift Valley
/Tree Hotel
After breakfast, depart for Nyeri arriving in time for lunch.
For clients overnight at Treetops, lunch is served at the
Outspan Hotel and for that staying overnight at the Ark, lunch
is served at the Aberdare Country Club. After lunch, a transfer
is provided to either Treetops or the Ark which are strategically
situated for night game viewing. Dinner and overnight at Treetops/Ark.
DAY 5 Tree Hotel/Samburu National Park
After breakfast, proceed to Samburu National Reserve which
lies in the northern part of Kenya. Lunch and afternoon game
drive in this park renowned for its unusual Grevy's Zebra
and reticulated Giraffe. The Uaso Nyiro crocodile. Dinner
and overnight at Samburu Lodge/Samburu Serena Lodge.
DAY 6 Samburu National Park
/Nairobi
An early morning game drive in the park. After breakfast,
depart for Nairobi via Nyeri where lunch is served. Return
to Nairobi by late evening.
MAASAI
MARA/RIFT VALLEY AMBOSELI/TSAVO 6 DAYS AF - 324
Day 1 Nairobi/Maasai
Approximately 256 km West of Nairobi lies the Maasai Mara
Game Reserve. A drive through the rift Valley takes you to
this reserve which is unparalleled in Kenya for the number
and diversity of its game. After lunch, time to relax before
heading out on a game viewing drive. Dinner and overnight
at Mara Sopa/Keekorok or luxury tented camp.
Day 2 Maasai Mara
Morning and afternoon game drives are provided. Among the
wildlife seen are Wildebeest, Lion, Elephant and Cheetah.
All the meals and overnight at Mara Sopa/Keekorok or luxury
tented camp.
DAY 3 Maasai Mara/Rift Valley
Pre-breakfast game drive in the Maasai Mara. After break-fast,
proceed to Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru
Lodge. An afternoon game drive takes us around the lake, home
of the famous pink Flamingo. Lake Nakuru is truly an ornithologist's
paradise. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge.
DAY 4 Rift Valley/Amboseli
After breakfast, depart for Amboseli via Namanga on the Tanzanian
border arriving in time for lunch at the loge. An afternoon
game drive in this park provide a chance to see Rhino, Lion
Giraffe, Elephant and many others with Mount Kilimanjaro,
Africa's highest peak, providing backdrop. Dinner and overnight
at Amboseli Serena/amboseli Lodge or similar.
DAY 5 Amboseli/Tsavo National
Park
An early morning game drive in the park, then breakfasts before
continuing with the tour to Tsavo National Park. A visit is
made to the Mzima Springs, where Hippo and various types of
fish can be viewed from an underwater observation point. Lunch
and an afternoon game drive enabling you to view large herds
of Elephant, buffalo, Rhino, Lion and Antelope. Dinner and
overnight at Kilaguni/Ngulia/Salt Lick or Taita Hills Lodge.
DAY 6 Tsavo National Park/Nairobi
Early morning game drive in Tsavo before breakfast, permitting
further game viewing. After breakfast, leave for Nairobi arriving
by lunch-time.
